Auction Rules

Aqua-Lon Reefing Coral Auction Policy

We have switched auction platforms. What this means for auctions moving forward.
All Auctions are to be paid WITHIN 24 HOURS. We have had some issues with either selecting local pickup or failing to pay for won items in a timely manner. This means items not paid for within 24 hours WILL be offered to the next highest bidder(DO NOT LOSE THAT PIECE OVER 1 DOLLAR)

By participating in our auction, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These rules ensure a fair and efficient process for all hobbyists.
If there are any complications at all please reach out to Danny directly to resolve issues!
1. Bidding and Payment
  • Bids are Binding: All bids are a legally binding agreement to purchase. Do not bid if you do not intend to pay.
  • Payment Window: The winning bidder must complete the checkout process and submit full payment within 24 hours of the auction ending. SELECT LOCAL PICKUP AS PAYMENT FOR THIRD PARTY INVOICING OPTION AND MESSAGE DANNY.
  • Default & Forfeiture: Failure to pay within the 24-hour window will result in the forfeiture of your winning bid, a potential account ban from future auctions, and the item being offered to the next highest bidder or relisted.
  • No Discounts: Coupon codes, store credit (including DOA credits), or reward points cannot be applied to auction winnings.
  • Minimum Bid/Reserve: All auctions start at a set minimum bid, often $1, that is not a set starting price. All auction pricing will be priced accordingly.

2. Shipping
  • Shipping Costs are Separate: Shipping is a separate charge from the auction price. Free shipping thresholds for standard store items do apply to auction winnings. Shipping cost are non refundable. DOA Replacement Shipping is payable by customer.
  • Shipping Schedule: We typically ship live coral on Tuesdays, and Wednesdays via UPS Overnight. Specific delivery dates can be requested but are not guaranteed.
  • Order Combination: You can combine multiple auction wins and add non-auction items to a single shipment. We can hold paid items for up to one week to allow you to bid in subsequent auctions to combine orders and maximize shipping efficiency.
  • Local Pickup: Local pickup on auction items may are available or may require specific advance notice.

3. Live Arrival Guarantee (DOA Policy)
  • Standard DOA Policy: In the unfortunate of an auction DOA arrival,  value will be credited
  • Reporting a DOA: In the unlikely event of a DOA, you must provide a clear digital photo of the deceased coral in its original, unopened packaging within 2 hours of the carrier's recorded delivery time.
  • Remedy: We offer a store credit for the value of the coral (excluding shipping costs) as a remedy for a verified DOA. We do not issue cash refunds.

4. Disclaimers and Liabilities
  • WYSIWYG: Items are sold "What You See Is What You Get" (WYSIWYG) only if explicitly stated in the item description. Otherwise, the image is representative of the species and quality you will receive.
  • Color Disclaimer: Coral coloration can vary significantly under different lighting conditions (e.g., viewing lenses vs. your aquarium lighting). We are not liable if the coral appears different in your tank light than it did in the auction photo.
  • Assumption of Risk: Bidders assume all risks associated with keeping live coral, including proper acclimation and suitable tank parameters.
By placing a bid, you signify that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms. Happy bidding!
